Our Journey
Discover our milestones and achievements through Joint Venture Farming.
2011
Our journey begins
The Joint Venture is established between T.I.Evans & Son & Brightman farms, farming 520ha’s. The first agreement is created and the development of day to day working arrangements begins.
2015
2nd Joint Venture partner joins the group
Our new partner takes our farmed area to 720ha’s between three members. Further economies are gained as the group incorporates a new member and agrees on machinery and labour requirements.
2022
Martin Downes joins our business
Rob Fox, previous farm manager who established the group leaves and the current Farm Manager, Martin Downes is welcomed to the business.
2024
Windmill Farming is born
Brightman Farms leave the group due to a large percentage of the farmland being sold. Windmill Farming is born with the sole aim being to continue to spread the benefits of Joint Venture farming to others and to help the group grow the area that it farms.
2025
Evolving to meet changing needs
In 2025, our second JV partner made the decision to step away from the group to focus on other opportunities. As the farming landscape continues to evolve, so do we. This year marked a key turning point as we continue to build our existing relationships and expanded the offering beyond pure joint venture farming to include a range of farming agreements—Contract Farming, Stubble to Stubble, FBTs, and Hybrid CFAs. This broader approach allows us to support more landowners and farmers in finding the right fit for their business, while staying true to our values of collaboration, flexibility, and long-term sustainability.
